12.73

以菩薩力令火自然滅，或迴轉風勢令火不燒，或接此人置火外，或注雨令滅，或火自然不燒如耆婆入火，或以異物遮火，或令得禪定空三昧門，隨根所宜也。

Through the power of the bodhisattva, he causes the fire to naturally extinguish; or he reverses the direction of the wind so that the fire does not burn; or he picks up this person and places them outside the fire; or he pours down rain to extinguish it; or the fire naturally does not burn, like Jīvaka entering fire; or he shields the fire with a different object; or he causes them to attain the entrance to the dhyāna samādhi of emptiness—in accordance with what is appropriate to their faculties.
