12.89

「其中若有」下，第二、稱名。如人共船憂喜義同，應俱稱名，而言一人者顯心同義也。又一人稱名、眾人免難，顯菩薩力大也。「是諸人等」下，第二、釋觀明應義也。「以是因緣」下，第二、釋無情難竟，故總結之以詶其問也。

From "If there is among them" downward is the second, reciting the name. When people share a boat, their joy and sorrow are the same, and all should recite the name together; yet mentioning "one person" reveals the meaning of being of the same mind. Furthermore, one person recites the name and everyone escapes the peril, revealing that the power of the bodhisattva is great. From "These people" downward is the second, explaining "observing" to clarify the meaning of response. From "For this reason" downward is the second, concluding the insentient perils, and thus summarizing them to answer his question.
