七事是他方諸佛一化始終究竟法門，今欲將彼顯此釋迦說於《法華》。亦辨一化始終究竟，由佛光照見他方一化始終之事，即表由釋迦說《法華經》故得顯一化始終究竟也。

The seven matters are the ultimate Dharma gates of the beginning and end of a single period of conversion by the Buddhas of other directions. Now, wishing to use them to illuminate Śākyamuni's preaching of the Lotus Sūtra here, they also distinguish the ultimate beginning and end of a single period of conversion. That through the Buddha's light they saw the affairs of the beginning and end of a single conversion in other directions precisely signifies that through Śākyamuni's preaching of the Lotus Sūtra, the ultimate beginning and end of a single period of conversion could be revealed.
