適化所宜，已如前說。但此經正反二乘之初、明一乘之始，難信難解，故慇懃再說。又餘大乘經化於菩薩，菩薩利根但須一說，此經偏為二乘，二乘根鈍故須重明也。

Fitting the appropriate teaching has already been stated before. However, this sūtra directly reverses the inception of the two vehicles and clarifies the beginning of the ekayāna, being difficult to believe and difficult to understand; hence it is earnestly repeated. Furthermore, other Mahāyāna sūtras transform bodhisattvas, and bodhisattvas have sharp faculties who only need a single explanation; this sūtra is specifically for the two vehicles, and the two vehicles have dull faculties, so it must be clarified again.
