猶如慈父與子之物心生歡喜，菩薩亦爾。又如世人知火必燒舍，逆出財物，舍雖被燒而物不失，宅主歡喜；知身必滅，以財布施，心喜亦然也。

Just as a loving father gives things to his child with a joyful heart, the bodhisattva is also like this. Moreover, it is like a person of the world who knows fire will certainly burn down his house and brings out his property beforehand; although the house is burned, the goods are not lost, and the householder is joyful. Knowing that the body will certainly perish, he gives away his wealth, and his mental joy is likewise so.
