將彼顯此，欲顯十方諸佛道同；引古證今，明三世佛法無異。所以辨十方佛道同、三世法不異者，以小情難改、大法難信故也。

Using that to illuminate this intends to reveal that the Way of all Buddhas of the ten directions is identical; citing the ancient to verify the present clarifies that the Dharma of the Buddhas of the three periods is without difference. The reason for discerning that the Buddhas of the ten directions share the same Way and that the Dharmas of the three periods are not different is that small sentiments are hard to alter and the great Dharma is difficult to believe.
