《法華》既會三歸一，必須前明於一說三，如三世諸佛欲說《法華》說《無量義經》，入無量義定欲顯出生收入之義、設教之始終也。

Since the Lotus Sūtra unites the three and returns to the one, it is necessary to first explain the three on the basis of the one. Just as when the Buddhas of the three periods of time wish to preach the Lotus Sūtra, they preach the Sūtra of Immeasurable Meanings and enter the samādhi of immeasurable meanings, intending to reveal the meaning of generating the emanations and gathering them back, the beginning and the end of establishing the teachings.
