The initial text has two parts: first, by praising the two kinds of wisdom, vaguely opening the central doctrine; second, clearly and briefly explaining it. Why he first vaguely opens the central doctrine and afterwards clearly and briefly explains it is precisely because the principle of the one reality cannot be spoken of directly and the three attachments cannot be dismissed all at once; now, wishing to awaken sentient beings so as to sever doubt, he praises the Buddha's two kinds of wisdom as being beyond what the two vehicles can know. Praising the Buddha's two kinds of wisdom vaguely reveals the real; clarifying that the two vehicles do not know it vaguely opens the expedient. Since the preceding section was vague, the latter becomes gradually clearer; yet because it could not yet be expounded extensively, it is explained briefly.
