「舍利弗！如來能種種分別」下，第三、次重歎權智也。接上文生，上明成就一切未曾有法，以內德既圓故外巧說法，外巧說法有二種：一者、巧說法，二、巧稱機。「言辭柔軟」，上歎四無礙智，今讚五種音聲。與上嘆權智異者，前明說權意，謂令離諸著，令其不著小則是捨小；今讚佛巧說之德，令其欣大也。「舍利弗！取要言之」下，如來非但有巧說一能，取要言之具一切希有勝用也。

From "Śāriputra, the Tathāgata can make various distinctions..." onward is the third [part], next repeating the praise of provisional wisdom. Connecting with the text above, above it explained accomplishing all unprecedented dharmas; because internal virtue is already complete, externally he skillfully expounds the Dharma. Externally skillfully expounding the Dharma has two aspects: first, skillfully expounding the Dharma; second, skillfully matching capacities. "Gentle words": above praised the four unimpeded knowledges, and now it praises the five kinds of vocal sounds. Its difference from the previous praise of provisional wisdom is that previously it explained the intent of expounding the provisional, meaning causing them to leave behind all attachments—causing them not to attach to the small is abandoning the small; now it praises the Buddha's virtue of skillful exposition, causing them to rejoice in the great. From "Śāriputra, to state it briefly..." onward: the Tathāgata not only has the single ability of skillful exposition, but to state it briefly, he is endowed with all rare and superior functions.
