三障障礙聖道及聖道方便，此義則重，故有三障者不得入於聖道；五濁則通，故諸佛為五濁眾生說三乘教。

The three obstructions obstruct the noble path and the expedient means to the noble path; this meaning is grave, so those who possess the three obstructions cannot enter the noble path. The five turbidities are general, so the buddhas preach the teaching of the three vehicles for sentient beings of the five turbidities.
