一深三淺，雖有五濁得說三乘，然有四句：一者、有五濁障一乘，則昔聲聞人不堪聞一乘是也。二者、五濁不障一乘，謂凡夫人有五濁得聞一乘教是也。

The one [vehicle] is profound and the three are shallow; although the five turbidities exist, the triyāna may be preached. However, there are four propositions: First, the five turbidities obstruct the ekayāna, meaning that the former śrāvakas could not bear to hear the ekayāna. Second, the five turbidities do not obstruct the ekayāna, meaning ordinary people who have the five turbidities are able to hear the teaching of the ekayāna.
