「佛知彼心行」下，第二、結昔說大教意。佛初成道知菩薩福德利根，故早為說大乘也。

From "The Buddha, knowing their mental conduct" downward, second, concludes with the intention of expounding the great teaching in the past. When the Buddha first attained the Path, he knew the bodhisattvas' merit and sharp faculties, and therefore expounded the Mahāyāna for them early.
