〈方便品〉云「佛眼見六道眾生」，前長行云「長者見是大火」，並未明見之處所，故今釋二處之文，明佛居法身地故見，如長者在門外立故聞。

The "Expedient Means Chapter" says: "With the Buddha eye, I see the sentient beings of the six destinies"; the preceding prose said: "The elder saw this great fire." Neither clarified the place of seeing. Therefore, now interpreting the texts of both places, it clarifies that because the Buddha abides in the ground of the dharmakāya, he sees, just as the elder, standing outside the gate, hears.
