6.47

解從佛得，隨分皆會，故云各乘耳。又因必得果，故云得車也。所期是小而遂獲大，賜踰意表名「非本所望」也。

Their understanding is obtained from the Buddha, and each accords with their capacity to realize it; therefore it merely says that each rode. Furthermore, the cause must attain the fruit; hence it says they obtained the carriages. What they expected was small, yet they ultimately obtained the great; the bestowal exceeded what was anticipated, which is called "not what they had originally hoped for."
