Above, the comprehensive parable had six meanings; now, it does not versify the single door and the thirty children, but only versifies the master of conversion, the place of conversion, the five hundred people, and the intention of conversion. Versifying these four meanings shifts the rhetorical phrasing to expound the Dharma, and the text should properly be divided into six: first, clarifying the master of the house; second, recounting the features of the house; third, clarifying the people within the house; fourth, discerning that the house has toxic perils; fifth, clarifying that the house has the disaster of fire; sixth, comprehensively concluding the faults and perils of the house. The master of the house is the Buddha. The features of the house are the impermanence, non-self, and impurity of the three realms. The people within the house are the sentient beings of the five destinies. The house having toxic perils means that the afflictions of the three realms can harm the dharmakāya and the life of wisdom. The house having the disaster of fire means that the various sufferings of the three realms burn sentient beings. Comprehensively concluding the faults and perils means that being endowed with all the evils above, the three realms are a great fault and peril, causing beings to loathe them and seek escape.
