From "The wealthy elder" onward: third, matching the parables. It matches only five parables: first, matching the parable of originally being father and son; second, matching the parable of separation mid-journey; third, matching the parable of enticing him to return home; fourth, matching the parable of secretly converting through the entrustment of wealth; fifth, matching the parable of entrusting the family estate. The reason it matches only five is that originally being father and son is the inception of forming the connection, so it must be matched; turning against conversion and wandering through birth and death is the time of separation mid-journey, so it must also be matched; the latter three parables are Śākyamuni's lifetime appearance in the world, the beginning-to-end teaching methods of greater and lesser, manifest and secret, so they must also be matched. The other parables have already been explained clearly and do not await matching.
