有三種異：一者、舊但明《大品》是付財，不會父子；今明《大品》有付財、有會父子，所言會者，如上引〈畢定品〉事釋之。二者、舊明《大品》淺《法華》深；今明二經無異，非但二經無異，一切大乘經同辨一道同為菩薩，如長者家業始終無異，但說非子、是子為別耳。

There are three kinds of differences: First, the old [interpretation] merely explained the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra as entrusting the wealth, without reuniting father and son; the present [interpretation] explains that the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra has both the entrustment of wealth and the reunion of father and son—what is meant by reunion is as explained above by citing the matter of the Chapter on Certainty. Second, the old [interpretation] explained that the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra is shallow and the Lotus Sūtra is profound; the present [interpretation] explains that the two sūtras do not differ. Not only do the two sūtras not differ, but all Mahāyāna sūtras equally elucidate the one path and are equally for bodhisattvas; just as the elder's family estate is not different from beginning to end, with only the distinction between stating that he is not the son and stating that he is the son.
