七十三行半偈，還頌長行二段：初二行，頌法說；次七十一行半，頌譬說。上法說有二：初、序昔迷；二、陳今悟。今但頌悟不頌迷也。二偈為二：初偈明聞法故歡喜，次偈明見人得記故喜。亦初是現喜，後是預喜。

The seventy-three and a half lines of verse re-versify the two sections of the prose: The first two lines versify the exposition by Dharma; the next seventy-one and a half lines versify the exposition by parable. The exposition by Dharma above had two parts: first, recounting past delusion; second, presenting present awakening. Now it only versifies awakening and does not versify delusion. The two verses constitute two parts: The first verse clarifies rejoicing because of hearing the Dharma; the second verse clarifies rejoicing because of seeing people receive prophecies. Also, the former is present rejoicing, and the latter is anticipatory rejoicing.
