「而捨去」者，說教授解在益已圓故捨之而去。「時臥不覺知」下兩偈一句，頌上中途忘失大譬。「與珠之親友」下兩偈，頌上會遇示珠譬。「我等亦如是」下三行，頌上合譬。初偈頌合第一譬；次偈頌合第二；後偈頌合第三；「我今從佛聞」一偈，頌第四結歡喜也。

Regarding "and departed": because the benefit of expounding the teaching and conferring understanding was already complete, he departed and left him. From "At that time he lay asleep unaware" downward, two stanzas and one line versify the parable above of forgetting the great along the way. From "The close friend who gave the jewel" downward, two stanzas versify the parable above of encountering him and showing him the jewel. From "We are also like this" downward, three stanzas versify the correspondence to the parable above: the first stanza versifies the correspondence to the first parable; the next stanza versifies the correspondence to the second; the later stanza versifies the correspondence to the third. The single stanza "We have now heard from the Buddha" versifies the fourth, concluding with joy.
