「爾時世尊」下，第二、授學無學人記。初、授記；次、領解稱歎也。「寂然清淨」者，顯二千人知諸法先來寂滅本性清淨，故堪與無生記也。餘文易知也。

From 'At that time the World-Honoured One' below is the second: conferring prophecy on the trainees and adepts. First, conferring prophecy; next, receiving understanding and praising. 'Quiescent and pure' shows that the two thousand people knew that all dharmas have always been quiescent, extinguished, and inherently pure; hence they are worthy of being granted the prophecy of the unarisen. The rest of the text is easy to understand.
