妙法蓮花其義無量，所謂因緣亦復非一，今略序綱要開十門：一者、欲為諸菩薩說諸菩薩行故說是經。

The meanings of the subtle Dharma lotus are immeasurable, and the so-called causes and conditions are likewise not singular. Now, briefly outlining the main points, ten gates are opened: First, desiring to preach the bodhisattva practices for the sake of the bodhisattvas, he therefore preached this sūtra.
