《注法花經》採江左安、林、一、遠，河右什、肇、融、恒，八師要說著於經序，故云「出宅求車何小何大，滅城採寶孰近孰遠，教凝於三一之表，果玄乎丈六之外」也。

The Commentary on the Lotus Sūtra gathered the essential teachings of the eight masters—An, Lin, Yi, and Yuan of the east of the river, and Shi, Zhao, Rong, and Heng of the west of the river—and recorded them in the sūtra's preface; thus it says: 'Leaving the burning house to seek carts, what is small and what is great? Extinguishing the conjured city to gather jewels, who is near and who is far? The teaching coalesces beyond the three and the one; the fruit is mysterious beyond the sixteen-foot body.'
