妙音菩薩為弘通《法花》，故來化作八萬四千眾寶蓮華，閻浮檀金為莖，白銀為葉，金剛為鬚，甄叔迦寶以為其臺，即知是白蓮華。以八萬四千法藏皆攝入法華，今欲示弘白蓮華經，故前現白華之相也。

To propagate the Lotus Sūtra, Bodhisattva Gadgadasvara came and magically manifested eighty-four thousand jeweled lotuses, with jambūnada-gold stems, white silver leaves, diamond stamens, and kiṃśuka gems as their calyxes; thus we know that they were white lotuses. Since the eighty-four thousand teachings are all subsumed into the Lotus Sūtra, now, wishing to indicate the propagation of the White Lotus Sūtra, he first manifested the sign of white flowers.
