為三種人：一者、為不定根性聲聞令入一乘，二者、為練已定根性聲聞令入一乘，三者、為直往菩薩令知有一無三但進不退也。

For three kinds of persons: first, for śrāvakas of indeterminate disposition, to cause them to enter the ekayāna; second, for śrāvakas of determinate disposition who have been trained, to cause them to enter the ekayāna; third, for direct bodhisattvas, to cause them to know that there is the one and no three, advancing only and never regressing.
