此經中始末或言「佛以方便力示以三乘教」，則三乘並是方便；又云「唯此一事實，餘則非真」，是則二方便。兩文相違，何以通會？

In this sūtra, from beginning to end, it is sometimes said: 'The Buddha, by the power of upāya, showed the teaching of the three vehicles'—in which case the three vehicles are all upāya; yet it also says: 'Only this one thing is real, the others are not true'—in which case the two are upāya. The two passages contradict each other; how are they to be reconciled?
