梵云阿難陀，此云慶喜，但言阿難、翻為歡喜亦訛也。世尊成道內外咸慶，當喜時生故名慶喜。
In Sanskrit it is Ānanda; here it is translated as 'Rejoicing Joy'. Just saying 'Anan' and translating it as 'Delight' is also corrupted. When the World-Honoured One attained awakening, inside and outside all rejoiced; because he was born at the time of joy, he is named 'Rejoicing Joy'.
