贊曰：下文有二：初長行，後偈頌。長行中復二：初現神力，後言付囑。初文有七：一標現神力，二出舌放光，三謦欬彈指，四地皆振動，五彼見歸依，六合蓋成帳，七世界通一。此初也。略為三義故現神力：一為顯經勝德以勸流通，此下長行「佛告上行等菩薩」是。二為悅眾生令生信故，初一行頌是。三見諸菩薩發願流通，順諸佛心故現神力，第四頌是。

The Commentary says: The text below has two parts: first, prose; later, verses. In the prose there are again two parts: first, manifesting divine powers; later, words of entrustment. The first text has seven points: 1. Indicating the manifestation of divine powers; 2. Extending the tongue and emitting light; 3. Coughing and snapping fingers; 4. The earth shaking; 5. Those beings seeing and taking refuge; 6. The canopies uniting into a pavilion; 7. The worlds connecting into one. This is the first. Briefly, for three reasons he manifests divine powers: 1. To reveal the supreme virtue of the scripture so as to encourage its propagation, as seen in the prose below where 'the Buddha addressed Viśiṣṭacāritra and the other bodhisattvas'; 2. To gladden sentient beings and cause them to generate faith, as seen in the first line of verse; 3. Seeing all the bodhisattvas vow to propagate it, to accord with the minds of all buddhas, he manifests divine powers, as seen in the fourth verse.
