贊曰：下第三作用勝。有三：一法，二喻，三合。此初有三句：初能除惑業，次能除苦果，後能滿善願。又發心修行得果為三，又總別離惡攝善為三。

The Eulogy says: Below is the third, superiority in function. There are three [parts]: first, the teaching; second, analogies; third, synthesis. This initial [part] has three clauses: first, capable of eliminating delusion and karma; next, capable of eliminating suffering retribution; later, capable of fulfilling wholesome vows. Moreover, generating the aspiration, engaging in practice, and attaining the fruit constitute three; furthermore, general and specific, departing from evil, and gathering the wholesome constitute three.
