贊曰：此中有二，一結前勸示、二能濟急難。檀度有三：一財，二無畏，三說法。說法，法施也；濟難，無畏施也；令得珍寶等，財施也。

The Commentary says: Here there are two [parts]: first, concluding the preceding to encourage and show; second, being able to rescue from urgent perils. The dāna-pāramitā has three [types]: first, material goods; second, fearlessness; third, preaching the Dharma. Preaching the Dharma is the giving of Dharma; rescuing from perils is the giving of fearlessness; causing them to obtain precious treasures and so forth is the giving of material goods.
