贊曰：品文分三：初明持經之福，次明神呪之方，後明時眾獲益。此初。有二：初問、後答。答中有三：一返問，二直答，三佛說。

The Commentary says: The text of the chapter is divided into three: first, elucidating the blessing of upholding the sūtra; second, elucidating the methods of the divine incantations; third, elucidating the assembly’s attainment of benefits at that time. This is the first. It has two parts: first, the question; second, the answer. Within the answer there are three: first, the counter-question; second, the direct answer; third, the Buddha’s statement.
