贊曰：第三稟教行化。有九：一二子恨生，二母令念父，三順言即化，四父見喜問，五二子具答，六父陳欲往，七報母請出，八母遂許之，九白親詣佛。此初也。

The Commentary says: The third is receiving instructions and carrying out transformation. It has nine parts: first, the two sons lamenting their birth; second, the mother ordering them to be mindful of their father; third, complying with her words and proceeding to transform; fourth, the father seeing them, rejoicing, and inquiring; fifth, the two sons fully answering; sixth, the father stating his wish to go; seventh, reporting to the mother and requesting to go forth; eighth, the mother accordingly consenting; ninth, announcing to their parents and going to the Buddha. This is the first.
