贊曰：第五下空讚願。有二：初讚五德，後發六願。此初也。「紺」音古暗反，青赤色也。晈如青紺，蓮華葉故，紅環絞飾故言青赤。「頻婆菓」者，色丹且潤，故以為喻。

The Commentary says: Fifth, descending from the sky, praising, and making vows. There are two [parts]: first, praising the five virtues; next, making six vows. Here is the first. 'Gan' is pronounced with the fanqie gu-an; it is a bluish-red color. It is brilliant like a blue-purple lotus petal; because it is adorned with red rings, it is called bluish-red. As for the 'bimba fruit,' its color is vermilion and glossy, so it is taken as a simile.
