贊曰：此中品受持為護。有四：一讀時為護，二思時為護，三忘者令憶，四見者增進。增進有三：一見而喜進，二得定，三得總持。「法音方便」者，說法之加行智定。

Eulogy: This is protecting those of middle-grade receiving and upholding. There are four parts: first, protecting while reading; second, protecting while reflecting; third, causing those who have forgotten to remember; fourth, causing those who see to advance. Advancing has three parts: first, seeing and joyfully advancing; second, attaining samādhi; third, attaining dhāraṇī. 'Expedient means of the sound of Dharma' refers to the wisdom and concentration that serve as preparation for expounding the Dharma.
