贊曰：下第三段別顯六根殊勝作用。初眼。長行有三：一肉眼非通，下皆准知；二所見近遠；三見業報。

Commentary: The third section below specifically reveals the supreme functions of the six faculties. First, the eye. The prose text has three parts: first, that it is the fleshy eye and not supernormal power—the following should all be understood accordingly; second, the near and far of what is seen; third, seeing karmic retributions.
