10.98

贊曰：下顯能行違順人相。中有八：一惡人益勢，二善士增勤，三語加能忍，四身害能受，五善名既起，六勝果遂生，七惡人從化，八善士增道。此即初也。

The Commentary says: Below reveals the personal marks of those capable of practicing violation and compliance. Therein are eight: first, evil people gaining influence; second, good persons increasing their diligence; third, being able to endure verbal affliction; fourth, being able to suffer bodily harm; fifth, good renown already arising; sixth, superior fruition consequently arising; seventh, evil people following the conversion; eighth, good persons increasing the path. This is the first.
