贊曰：此半頌明見佛。師子即聖主，聖主即諸佛，以下釋上。無畏自在名師子，冥真洞俗名聖主，眾聖之主即諸佛也。

The Commentary says: This half-verse explains seeing the buddhas. The "lion" is the "sage lord," and the "sage lord" is the "buddhas"; the latter terms explain the former. Being fearless and autonomous is called "lion"; being attuned to ultimate reality and penetrating the conventional is called "sage lord"; the lord of the many sages is precisely the buddhas.
