贊曰：此聞三乘，聲聞、獨覺、菩薩如次配此三頌，「厭」音於艶反，厭淤猶足而不欲復為也。有作「厭」於鹽反，飽也。

The Commentary says: This is hearing the three vehicles: the śrāvaka, pratyekabuddha, and bodhisattva are matched in sequence to these three verses. The character yàn (厭) is pronounced as the fanqie of 于 (yú) and 艶 (yàn); yànyū means being satiated and having no desire to act again. Some read yàn with the fanqie of 于 (yú) and 鹽 (yán), meaning "satiated."
