贊曰：此三悲接物。悲謂拔苦，有情緣悲緣有情起，行有多種生亦無窮，偏舉一行濟重苦生，故言放光濟地獄苦，餘二悲行：法緣、無緣，准此亦成，下當具顯。

Eulogy: This is receiving beings with the three compassions. Compassion means pulling out suffering. Compassion with sentient beings as its object arises based on sentient beings; its practices are of many kinds and sentient beings are also infinite. Here it singles out one practice, rescuing sentient beings in severe suffering, and therefore says that emitting light rescues the suffering of hells. The other two practices of compassion—those with phenomena as object and objectless—can be known by analogy with this, and will be fully displayed below.
