Eulogy: This one verse praises morality. The deportment of the three actions is constantly free from fault or deficiency; do not make light of small offenses thinking they bring no calamity, for though drops of water are minute, they gradually fill a great vessel, because of seeing them with deep dread and shame. "Pure as precious jewels": first, flawless inside and out; second, endowed with complete precept-virtue; third, having dazzling radiance and splendor; fourth, loved and cherished by all. Because of this, [there are stories of] the goose-pearl, being tied by grass, casting off one's life like the wild goose falling before the overseer, the dragon born in the eranda tree, and the vase yielding whatever is desired, all because the morality of restraint is the root.
