贊曰：此二頌舉見二事問。初頌牒自他之兩見，後頌舉此彼之被瞻。疑意若斯，放光何故？此被瞻者欣我問故，彼被瞻者希仁答故。

The Commentary says: These two verses raise the seeing of the two events to question. The first verse cites the twofold seeing of oneself and others; the latter verse raises the being looked upon of this and that side. The doubt in mind is this: For what reason is the light emitted? This side being looked upon rejoices in my questioning; that side being looked upon hopes for your benevolent answer.
