世間解者，有情及器二世間中皆善通達故，由悟入有情世間依前後際宿住生死智，依一切時八萬四千行差別故，即知三際眾生心行差別，及善了知器世間等，於東方等十方世界無邊成壞善了知故。又於一切世間諸法自性、因緣、愛味、過患、出離、能趣行等皆善知故，謂知自性果也。因緣，因也，此為總句，餘四四諦如次配之。

"Knower of the World" means that he thoroughly penetrates both the world of sentient beings and the world of the receptacle. Because he awakens to and enters into the world of sentient beings by relying on the knowledge of past lives and of death and rebirth concerning past and future limits, and by relying at all times on the eighty-four thousand variations of conduct, he knows the differences in the mental conduct of sentient beings across the three times; and because he thoroughly comprehends the world of the receptacle, thoroughly understanding the boundless formation and disintegration of the worlds in the ten directions, such as the eastern direction. Furthermore, because he thoroughly knows the intrinsic nature, causes and conditions, gratification, peril, escape, and path of progress regarding all phenomena in all worlds: that is, he knows the intrinsic nature, which is the fruit. 'Causes and conditions' is the cause; this serves as a general phrase, and the remaining four correspond in order to the four truths.
