言佛陀者，謂畢竟斷一切煩惱、所知、並習氣，現等正覺，證得無上正等覺故，即具二智覺自他也。
Regarding the word "Buddha": it means that he has completely eradicated all afflictions, [the obstacles to] the knowable, and their latent predispositions, manifesting equal and perfect awakening and realizing unexcelled complete, perfect awakening; thus he is endowed with the two wisdoms, awakening himself and others.
