贊曰：第五憶念因。論云「為他說法利益他故」。文分為二：一八子成佛，二八百弟子成佛。此初也。理應此文屬前能進入因，但以別明成佛者名，故合入此。

The commentary states: The fifth is the cause of recollecting. The treatise says: "Because he preached the Dharma for others and benefited others." The text is divided into two: first, the eight sons becoming buddhas; second, the eight hundred disciples becoming buddhas. This is the first. By principle, this text should belong to the preceding cause of being able to progress, but because it specifically states the name of the one who became a buddha, it is included here.
