贊曰：下四頌第六答成。長行有四，此文有二，初二頌因說此經，後二頌時節短長，略無傳燈眷屬大眾安樂。此初也。「適」近也始也。纔從定起能引眾生至菩提位，出世智慧照達真俗名世間眼。

The Commentary says: The following four verses are the sixth: the answer being fulfilled. The prose has four parts, but this text has two: the first two verses concern the occasion for preaching this sūtra, and the latter two verses concern the duration of time; it omits the passing on of the lamp, the retinue, and the assembly's peace and joy. This is the first. 'Just' means recently, or for the first time. Having just arisen from samādhi, he is able to lead sentient beings to the rank of bodhi; world-transcending wisdom illuminating and penetrating the real and conventional is called the 'Eye of the World.'
