2.36

贊曰：此三濟貧救對，寶掌濟貧苦眾生，手中出寶。　藥王為大藥樹救治王諸疾。　勇施一人通能二事，勇出財、藥，財、藥俱攝。

The commentary: These three form the pair of relieving poverty and rescuing [from illness]. Ratnapāṇi relieves poor and destitute sentient beings, gems emerging from his hand. Bhaiṣajyarāja is a great medicinal tree, curing all illnesses. Bhaiṣajyasamudgata alone is capable of both tasks, courageously putting forth wealth and medicine, subsuming both wealth and medicine.
