贊曰：此二離染進善對，越三二界離染也；越者離度義。颰陀婆羅云賢護，護守善法令不失故。
The commentary: These two form the pair of leaving defilement and advancing in goodness. Transcending the three [or] two realms is leaving defilement; 'transcending' has the meaning of departing and crossing over. Bhadrapāla means 'Worthy Protector', because he guards and protects the good Dharma so that it is not lost.
