贊曰：結成勝妙二勸捨非妙二，記五德人來世成佛，以深心念佛脩持淨戒故。念佛有二：一語念，二心念。或心緣事佛，願救希成，智念理身，求證滅障；定慧既爾，又持淨戒，三學既成故為之記。此等聞得佛，順心故歡喜，佛既知心，故為說大。

The Eulogy says: This concludes and establishes the superior and subtle [dharmas] and encourages abandoning the non-subtle [dharmas]. Prophecy is conferred upon those possessing the five virtues that they will attain buddhahood in future lives, because with a profound mind they be mindful of the Buddha and cultivate and uphold pure precepts. Mindfulness of the Buddha has two kinds: first, verbal mindfulness; second, mental mindfulness. Or, the mind takes the phenomenal Buddha as an object, vowing to rescue and hoping to accomplish; and with wisdom one is mindful of the principle body, seeking realization to eliminate hindrances. Since concentration and wisdom are thus, and they also uphold pure precepts, the three trainings are fulfilled, and therefore prophecy is conferred upon them. Hearing that they will attain buddhahood, they rejoice in accordance with their intention; and since the Buddha knows their minds, he preaches the Great [Vehicle] for them.
