贊曰：下有七頌明供養，有二：初五頌半明供養，後一頌半結成。初中有五：一頌四物供養，一頌半音樂供養，一頌歌唄供養，一頌華供養，一頌身業行敬供養。此初也。《發菩提心經》云：「若以華施，得七覺華故；以香施，得五分法身香故；以幡施，得陀羅尼轉眾惡故；以蓋施，獲四無量覆眾生故。」《業報差別經》說各得十德。

The Eulogy says: The following seven verses explain making offerings, with two parts: the first five and a half verses explain making offerings, and the latter one and a half verses conclude the attainment. The first part has five: one verse on offering four items; one and a half verses on offering music; one verse on offering songs and chants; one verse on offering flowers; and one verse on offering bodily acts of reverence. This is the first. The Sūtra on Generating the Bodhicitta says: 'If one gives flowers, one attains the flowers of the seven factors of enlightenment; if one gives incense, one attains the fragrance of the fivefold Dharma-body; if one gives banners, one attains dhāraṇī to turn away all evils; if one gives canopies, one obtains the four immeasurables to shelter sentient beings.' The Sūtra on the Distinctions of Karmic Retribution says that each attains ten virtues.
