贊曰：下第二大段有三頌，頌破四疑，分三：初一頌佛何時出化以三乘，出五濁世；次一頌云何知增上慢，若我弟子自謂阿羅漢，不信此法無有是處；一頌云何堪說，除佛滅後現前無佛。此初也。

The Commentary says: The second major section below has three verses, which versify the refutation of the four doubts, divided into three parts: The first single verse addresses when the buddhas appear to transform beings through the three vehicles: they appear in the world of the five turbidities. The next single verse addresses how to recognize those with overweening pride: if my disciples call themselves arhats and do not believe this Dharma, there is no such possibility. The [final] single verse addresses who is competent to be told it: except after the Buddha's extinction when there is no buddha present. This is the first.
