4.70

贊曰：此結成二聖相。但是真聖而遇我者，趣寂多是不愚法人，雖不能行聞之亦信，不定種姓理信脩覺故真二聖；若不信者必無有是處，彼非道理故。其趣寂者不能證入，初猶未信名損驚怖，返道疑生後必信之成不愚法，故此結云「不信一乘無有是處」。

The Eulogy says: This concludes the characteristics of the two sages. Anyone who is a true sage and encounters me, if he tends toward quiescence, is mostly one who is not ignorant of the Dharma; though he may not be able to practice it, upon hearing it he also believes it. And those of indeterminate lineage by principle believe and cultivate awakening; thus they are true sages of the two vehicles. If they do not believe, there is definitely no such possibility, because that would be contrary to reason. Those who tend toward quiescence cannot realize and enter it; at first they do not yet believe, which is called impairment and fright, and falling away from the path, doubt arises, but later they will definitely believe it, becoming not ignorant of the Dharma. Therefore he concludes here by saying, "that they would not believe the Single Vehicle, there is no such possibility."
